Hey everybody,I thought that until the next event we need a bit of training so we can get better on the Air Combat Part of the whole thing so we'll develop ourselves and others, helping each other with the knowledge we've got. This training will be on weekdays,ZULU/UTC 16:00.We can do it evrywhere in the world. There will be two teams. We do not want to shoot, just to intercept our target. The plane which gets spotted, locked and intercepted is out so it returns to its home base until a team wins. The team which scores the most points in one and a half our wins.
*Note; If a team has got too many planes which can takeoff from air carrier, spawn there. The others will spawn at an airport which I'll tell them through discord. Also a good plan for not to have nobody remaining,is to have only two planes taken off at time. The other members of each team will be reinforcements in case one of the two planes gets shot down. This tactic can be used by everyone, just use it,if you want.Every shot down plane is 1 point.
Bruh, first point is, 5:00pm ZULU does not exist, Segundo, I'm not sure that us plebs can organise anything without permission from Admin on this site, put your plan with details to an Admin and see what happens.
Roger that Bossman:) I wasn't sure who could organise events as it usually is Admin, Zulu time is a 24 hr clock, 5:00PM Zulu does not exist, 17:00 Zulu does, only way to learn is to be correct from the outset :)
@Maverick IMO a training without shooting is just like fun flying because almost everyone can get a lock at at least 30NM with -120s, the real challenge is how you evade and how you manage missiles during the fight, recognizing the right moment to shoot. That's what we usually fire at each other during random skirmishes, because that's what it's all about. Unfortunately we don't have (yet) a "training mode" in master arm as you would get IRL so the only way is live firing and get downed when hit. Apart from that, I will try to be available for it because group training is the best way you can keep yourself active and competitive. Mav
Breakin' the sound barrier everyday! Peace through superior AIRPOWER
I think learning how to fly in general is a good Idea J-mav. Maybe learn to evade missiles after that.
Maverick how would one person know that the opposing team member got a lock? We have nothing that give a missile lock warning in the planes. Just my 2 cents on distance. You may want to put them further apart due to the time it takes to get in the air and intercept. 25 Mikes is going to set off everyone's radar instantly. If you make it out of radar range then they would have to really patrol and intercept. If I have anything confused you can always edit your original post to clarify things. What should the minimum distance be between bases etc.
When no one can be a winner, we will have a nation of losers. - Me -
