There's been some confusion lately about our hour tracker, so I wanted to clear that up.
Originally, our tracker relied on https://fgtracker.ml - this is no longer the case. We do not use fgtracker anymore. You do not need to register a callsign there, nor do I pull any information from that. If fgtracker goes down, it does not affect the OPRF tracker in any way.
The OPRF tracker was written in response to the frequent crashes experienced by fgtracker.
We now have a separate tracker running at http://mpserver.opredflag.com, however it is not available for public viewing. If you'd like a copy of the raw data, I'd be happy to provide it.
You must be moving faster than 5 knots to accrue time. This is recorded into a database, which outputs a file that I pull into a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet allows us to modify time based on if you do a, event, etc, and keeps track of ranks.
TL;DR: the tracker OPRF uses is not affiliated, associated, or linked to https://fgtracker.ml in any way. fgtracker going down does not affect us at all.
