Hey all.

Instead of re-hashing the logistics rules for every event, I figured we could just put the rules here and reference it easier. Rules are subject to change of course.

LOGISTICS:

The basic premise is this: like in real life, you can't take off or load up armament unless the airport you're at has fuel and missiles.

Every event with logistics, each team will be given an airfield with a certain amount of fuel and armament to be used as they see fit. The team can be given more during the course of the event. Alternatively, the airfield can have infinite ammo and fuel.

The team can take an airplane (any airplane - to be clarified later), load it up with fuel and stores, and transfer those to another airbase. While fuel and ammo is at an airbase, that team can load up at that airbase.

Fuel and armament will be kept track of in a Google Spreadsheets that is shared between a team. Example spreadsheet:

What's going on here is...

- OPFOR77 delivered 12000 lbs of avgas, 10000 lbs of A/A missile stuff, and 15000 lbs of A/G missile stuff.

- pinto takes off in the eurofighter, taking 4500 lbs of fuel, 4 AIM-132s, 4 AIM-120s, and 2 STORMSHADOWs.

- pinto lands, and returns 750 lbs of unused fuel, 2 unused AIM-132s, and 1 unused STORMSHADOW.

Before you takeoff, mark down on the spreadsheet how much avgas (in pounds) you're taking with you, which armament and how many of each you are bringing with you.

After you land, open up the equipment menu and put the unused fuel and armament back on the spreadsheet.

The Totals on the right (Total AvGas, Total A/A, Total A/G) should update automatically, showing you how much fuel and armament are left at the airport. These cannot fall below zero, and you may not be able to fill up your plane. If they do fall below zero, they'll turn red.

IF YOU ARE DELIVERING ARMAMENT you should select the missile type as "Delivery", and put in how many pounds you are delivering. The spreadsheet will do the rest of the work. Right now, it takes 200lbs of cargo for 1 A/A missile, and 300lbs for 1 A/G missile.

In a pinch, even fighters can be used to transport a limited amount of fuel and armament! But, that's a bad idea. Don't do that.

Hopefully this was clear as mud. Questions/suggestions? I don't mind editing this at all.

Cool Pinto.
How about diff costs, something like:

aim9 1
aim7 2
aim120 2
aim54 3
etc

Simple and clear, thanks Pinto!
Probably both KC-137R and RT will be in a better state in time for the event to assure a better experience of transport ;) .

So if you take 1 AIM-54 it's be like you take 3 AIM-9? Or is it kind of money related?

We could just make it explicit. Have each ordinance and fuel type broken out.

Yes, but then people can just bring tons of AIM-54 when they haul supplies. What I was trying was to limit its use.

But maybe specify them in spreadsheet, and sheet then computes it value and subtract from storage.

Btw. I think better relative values:

aim9 = 1
magic = 1
aim7 = 2
aim120 = 4
mica = 5
aim54 =8

Stupid question, when FG crashed or a pilot gets downed, does he have to return fuel and stores or not?

Not a stupid question!

No, the only way to put stores back is to successfully land at an airport. If FG crashes or the pilot is downed, those stores are gone.

Awesome Pinto

My comments:

R530 and RB74 should cost 1 instead of 2 like the other heatseekers that can go no more than 10 miles
RB04 should be more expensive I think
RB05 should be cheaper I think
Meteor should not be there I think
